Why House Of The Dragon’s Targaryens Get Away With So Much Incest In Westeros, According To George R.R. Martin

The rest of Westeros isn’t all about the incest, but George R.R. Martin established why the Targaryens get away with it in House of the Dragon.

How Inbreeding Caused The Targaryen Madness

House Targaryen is one of the most inbreed family trees in fantasy history. With Daemon Targaryen and Rhaenyra Targaryen getting married in The House of the Dragon, it highlights this family practice. In this video, I go over how this repeat inbreeding caused the madness in the family tree.

House Of The Dragon Scenes That MISSED The Final Cut..

Welcome back to Recap Central. There are scenes that were never filmed (including any interactions between Rhaenyra Targaryen and Harwin Strong before we meet their, ahem, kids) and deleted sequences that could’ve colored the series’ characters even brighter. . In some cases, they’re probably right (we certainly didn’t need any more shots of Aemma’s blood-soaked bed), but it would’ve been nice to see others (literally any crumb of Rhaenyra and Alicent before the latter’s wedding!). The Prophecy and the Spare, Mourning the Heir, Frenemy Territory, Another Side of Ser Criston, Daemon’s Daughters, and The Final Toast.

House of the Dragon Season 1 is over, and HBO has confirmed we’ll have to wait until at least 2024 for Season 2. The Game of Thrones prequel spin-off has impressed fans and critics with its portrayal of the messy lives of Daenerys Targaryen’s ancestors – as developed from George R.R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood. The board is set for the civil war known as the Dance of Dragons, which will see the Greens fight the Blacks as dragons clash with dragons and Westeros burns. While we wait for the next installment, here are some predictions of new characters we’ll meet and plotlines which will take place in House of the Dragon Season 2. Spoilers have been kept to a minimum, but be warned for mild spoilers for Season 1 of House of the Dragon. 1. Blood and Cheese, 2. Cregan Stark, 3. Daeron Targaryen, 4. Hugh Hammer, 5. Nettles.
